These FTZ cable lugs, also known as starter lugs, are the best we could find (except for the HD terminals - see below). They are made by a leading manufacturer of electrical components for transportation and industrial applications. They are less expensive than the brand often found in chandleries, but are equal or superior in our tests.
FTZ starter lugs are made of 99.9% copper, with a substantial tin plating. Unlike many lugs, the pad is a seamless piece for strength, conductivity, and corrosion resistance. The barrel is slightly flared and chamfered for easy wire insertion. The cable size is stamped on each lug.
If you have cables that will be subject to unusual strain, or want a premium cable, the heavy duty Power Lug versions are available. We haven't seen anything else like them. We recommend the FTZ crimping tool, which provides a substantial diamond-shaped crimp with no voids, or an appropriate hydraulic or electric crimper.
